Jan 16, 2015: Most of women want to get their legs into shape.There are some exercises which can help you to burn your fats of legs. so you can flaunt your summer wardrobe or show off your new pair of shorts or skinny jeans. As between the short skirts and teeny bikinis your legs are going to be center of attraction.
If your legs are carrying extra fats, you can transform them by following exercises:
1. Step Up & Down: This is a great combination of a flutes and hamstring workout. Ensure the platform is high enough in order to really activate those muscle fibers Clutch a pair of dumbbells (optional), holding them by your sides with your palms facing your body. Perform 20 repetitions for each leg and 1-3 sets.
Stand behind a 6 to 15 inch high step (like those used in aerobic step classes) and keep your arms straight.
2.Side lunges: Lunges are usually thought to be working our inner and outer thighs and glutes, but they indirectly exercise the calves as well. While doing this exercise, just ensure your one leg is straight and one is bent. Also, your chest should be up when you do this exercise.
3. Wall Squats: Stand with back, shoulders, and butt pressed against a wall. Keep feet hip-width apart. Slide down until thighs are parallel to floor. Hold for one count, then slide up.
4.Body-weight calf raise: This is consider to be one of the most effective calf toning exercises. stand on a platform that is raised slightly above the ground. Place only the balls of your feet on this platform with your heels hanging off the edge.Then, lower your heels towards the ground, so that your calf muscles get a fine squeeze. With the time increase the frequency to 20 reps per set.While you are performing standing calf raise, make sure your spine is erect and core is tight
5. Skipping:Skipping is not comfortable. It challenges both the body and mind. Much of the impact of skipping is taken through the leg muscles. In this you are required to jump up and down on the balls of your feet. You can try variations, like hopping on one foot, double hop, high-knee jump, side straddles, front straddles, etc
6. Running: Running is one of the best ways to torch calories and improve your cardiovascular health . A running routine won’t make your legs longer, but if you’re looking to slim and strengthen your legs, a regular run is a perfect form of exercise. Longer legs have a lot of muscle, and running is a great exercise for strengthening them. As you run, your muscles contract, and strenuous exercise can occasionally tear some of the individual muscle fibers or my ofibrils.
